The gorilla habituation starts early in the morning at 7 am with the briefing from trained rangers guides at the park . After the briefing, you will proceed to the park with packed lunch and drinking water . You will meet the gorillas and spend 4 hours with them.
The normal gorilla trekking starts at 8am and the time they spend with gorillas depends on how far or near they find the gorillas. This safari can start from either Kigali or Entebbe and vice versa.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your driver-guide from Pieland Gorilla Safaris will pick you up early from Entebbe International Airport, Kampala or Kigali for a scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the rare mountain gorillas.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park + Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park briefing point where you will join other trekkers and receive important guidelines from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.
Embark on your Gorilla Trekking adventure through the dense forest in search of one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 3 to 5 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Once you find them, spend a magical one hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and learning about their family dynamics. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, face to face with the gentle giants of Africa.
In the afternoon, you’ll head out for a Batwa Cultural Experience. Learn about the ancient Batwa pygmies, the original inhabitants of Bwindi, who lived in harmony with wildlife for over 60,000 years. After breakfast, head to the Rushaga Sector for a briefing, and then venture into the forest with a team of researchers, trackers, and rangers. Unlike standard gorilla trekking, this experience allows you to spend up to 4 hours with a semi-habituated gorilla family, observing them as they are gradually accustomed to human presence.
This is a deep, immersive experience ideal for travelers who wish to spend more time with gorillas, film, photograph, or study their behavior.
Only four visitors are allowed per day, making it one of Africa’s most exclusive wildlife experiences.
Afterwards, return to your lodge for relaxation, a warm shower, and dinner.

Gorilla Habituation and Gorilla Trekking safari can be booked any time as long there is availability of the permits . After confirming the safari with Pieland Gorilla Safaris, the booking handler will check the permits with Uganda wildlife Authority and shares the feedback with you. If there is availability, the permits will be booked and you will be requested to send money for the permits that will be part of the 50% deposit of the price for the safari. If there is no availability , you will be requested to adjust the dates of travel.
